2025-26 Enrollment Information
- Lafayette Connections Academy has an enrollment limit that has not been met.
- Enrollment Offers are being made to parents of students who registered. We will continue to accept applicants and make enrollment offers until the cap is met. After the cap is met, students will be placed on a waitlist based on the date/time of account registration. Students will be released to enroll as space becomes available.
- Once the offer of enrollment is accepted, you will then have 14 days from the date of acceptance to complete the enrollment process. You will have 24-hour access to your personalized account in the Enrollment Portal, where you will find updates on the progress of your student’s enrollment.

Get ready to enroll in an online school program at Lafayette Connections Academy, serving grades 4–12. Typically, the enrollment process takes just a few weeks to complete. But spots fill up quickly, so make sure you start as soon as you can. Here's how to get started:

Check Eligibility
You must meet specific state and program requirements to participate in Lafayette Connections Academy. Before enrolling, review the following eligibility requirements carefully to determine whether your student(s) is eligible to participate in grades 4–12. Once your enrollment is complete, please immediately withdraw your student from their previous publicly-funded school. Students cannot be simultaneously enrolled in two public schools.

A copy of the following document must be provided for every student to verify age eligibility. To avoid unnecessary delays, provide a copy of this document along with your enrollment documents.

If your student was born in Louisiana and you need a copy of their birth certificate, you can order it online through the Louisiana Department of Health. Please visit the Louisiana Department of Health web page for more information.
If your child was born in another state, please visit the CDC’s Where to Write for Vital Records webpage for more information. When using this tool, please remember to follow the CDC's Application Guidelines.
As a reminder, the age eligibility is as follows:
- Maximum Age: Any student who turns nineteen (19) years old on or before September 10 will not be eligible to enroll in Lafayette Connections Academy.

Proof of Residence
You must provide acceptable proof of residency to be eligible for enrollment in Lafayette Connections Academy. There are many verifiable forms of documentation, which are detailed below:
Not Sure What is Accepted as Proof?
- A residential utility bill (acceptable documents include gas, water, sewage, cable, home phone, or internet bill) from the last 60 days, in the resident's name and service address
Mortgage statement from the last 60 days or an annual lease agreement
Property tax statement
Homestead exemption bill
Letter from a government agency such as the Department of Children and Family Services or Department of Health regarding services provided from the last 60 days
Current bank statement

All Lafayette Connections Academy students must provide a copy of the student’s Louisiana Universal Certificate of Immunizations (LUCI) or provide the appropriate exemption form.

Students residing in certain parishes in grades 4-12 are eligible to enroll in Lafayette Connections Academy. Those who have previously attended public school, private school, or homeschool will be asked to submit academic records for placement such as the student’s most recent report card, unofficial transcript, or standardized test scores.

You may need to provide additional documentation if any of the following circumstances apply:
Custody order: This may include a final decree, adoption papers, or an order of temporary guardianship.
Standardized test scores: You may be asked to submit your student’s most recent standardized test scores.
